About

Dear visitor,
If you have clicked or somehow reached this page, then it must be that you are very interested in an amalgamation of stuff and therefor that you are fairly similar to me aswell.
I can only greet you warmhearted and hope that you enjoy the time you spent or are going to spend on this blog. My name is Pieter (pronounced like ‘Peter’) and i’m interested in a myriad of things. I can’t always seem to get the focus of my writing right, but in the end I think I do a pretty thorough job. If you were to compare me to something, I would probably be a camera (lens) that always gets out of focus because something else has caught his eye. While my main focus always remains on the same object or interest, I try to look at the bigger picture and do the analytics of ‘how stuff works’. I don’t believe i’m unique in that perspective, but i will try my best to give a broader picture than most blogs.
I also have to say that i’m easily aghasted by what happens in actuality and I just like to give my view on that. That’s the main reason why i have chosen http://www.flabbergasted.be as my homepage.
Let’s just cut to the chase:
I’m Pieter. 25 years old (subject to change, i won’t revise ;) ).
Basically, I love music above all else and my main interests are in technical stuff. I like figuring out the process of ‘how stuff works’ as I said above. I also try to withdraw from expressing the politics of it all, but it’s impossible to do so because every action you take in life, love or your career shows what politics you adopt. In a nutshell, that’s all information I want to put on this very page. I hope that it encourages you to ‘get to know me’ throughout all of the posts i will do at this blog.
I do realize that it sounds very ‘stalkerish’, but I doubt that in this day and age of instant-gratification that I will get to move people to ‘get to know me’. I hope that my idealistic self can get at least a couple of followers who share my train of thought.
I will blog in either english or dutch, whichever suits me the best for the subject and my approach.
Thanks for reading!
Sincerely yours.
Pieter Ophals
